Golf team finishes second in Mel Schremmer Golf Tournament

Senior Ty Sides shot a 77 to finish second in the Mel Schremmer Tournament

Phillipsburg hosted the annual Mel Schremmer Golf Tournament on Monday, May 10. The tournament sported eight area teams. The Panther golf team placed second in the tournament with a combined score of 346. Osborne won the meet with a score of 336. Individual varsity placers for the Panthers included senior Ty Sides who placed second with a score of 77, junior Kale Shelton placed eighth with a score of 85, senior Andrew Meitl and senior Chase Russell tied for thirteenth with a score of 92, sophomore Jesse Blackburn finished sixteenth with a score of 93 and freshman Tyler Davis finished twenty-second with a score of 95. Since the meet was the Panther’s home meet, all golf team members participated. Other participants included freshmen Ethan Miller 100, freshman Landon Wyatt 100, junior Cameron Bohl 111, freshman Dayton Hugunin 112, freshman Louis Bohl 113 and sophomore Noah Jacobs 124.
