Logan students selected for the NW Honor Band/Choir

Logan students to participate in the 2022 Northwest Honor Band/Choir are: (first row) Anslee Traxler, Grayson Becker, Kinley VanDerVeen and Daphne Hermanson; (second row) Helen Prewo, Kendra Alexander and Kylee Uhland.

Logan has the privilege of having two high schoolers selected for the NW Honor Band/Choir. Senior Kylee Uhland went to Hays on Saturday, Nov. 5 for a live audition in front of 3 judges. She was selected as a Soprano 1.

Sophomore Kendra Alexander had to do her audition through a song submission. She was selected as the 10th flute.

Fifth graders Helen Prewo, Grayson Becker, Daphne Hermanson, Kinley VanDerVeen, & Annslee Traxler were selected to represent Logan Elementary in the Honor Choir.

These students and Mr. Prewo will go to Hays on Saturday, December 3 for the Northwest Kansas KMEA Mini Convention in which the 5th graders will rehearse with a clinician and then sing for their concert at Beach Schmidt Auditorium at 12:30. Kylee & Kendra will have their concert start at 3:00 along with the NW & SW Honor Orchestra.

Mr. Paul Prewo directs the Logan PreK-12 music program.
