Huskies win WKLL Scholar's Bowl Tournament

The Northern Valley Huskies went to Ransom on January 25 for the WKLL Tournament for the league bragging rights.

The Huskies were able to go 8-2 through the round-robin tournament and take home the first place plaque. Second place was the Western Plains Bobcats with a tie-breaker over the Weskan Coyotes who both finished with a 7-3 record on the day.

The questions included the following categories: Foreign Language, Social Studies, Language Arts, Math, Science, Fine Arts, and Year in Review.

The competition was great for the team as they look forward to Regionals on February 2 with the top three teams from that moving on to state competition on February 11.

Competing for the Huskies were: Seniors Kai Cox, Deacon Schemper, and Foster Brands as well as Juniors Drew Schemper and Gabe Rudd.
