WKLL Music Festival Held

On Thursday, March 23, the Logan Junior and Senior High music students headed to Colby for the Western Kansas Liberty League (WKLL) Music Contest hosted by Logan Schools at Colby Community College. Students performed in front of either a single judge for solo or small ensemble or three judges for large ensembles. These students did a great job of representing Logan Schools. Here are the following ratings that the kids earned:

5th & 6h Band: I, I-, II+

Kinley VanDerVeen: Piano solo I-

Kylee Uhland: AP (Highest Rating possible)

Keegan Breese: vocal solo II

Hunter Vahling: vocal solo NR (No rating)

5th & 6th Choir: II, I-, II

Junior High Mixed Ensemble: (Kaydee Bolt, Addisyn Ellenberger, & Brecken Shellito) I

High School Mixed Ensemble: (Kylee Uhland, Hailey McClurg, Kaitlyn Alexander, & Kendra Alexander) I

Taden Gottschalk: Clarinet solo I+

Helen Prewo: Clarinet solo I-

Hailey McClurg: Flute solo I

Kendra Alexander: Flute solo I

Flute Trio: (Kylee Uhland, Hailey McClurg, & Kendra Alexander) I

Mr Prewo is very proud of how the students performed with many taking a solo or performing in front of a judge for the very first time. Thanks to everyone who helped because without them, this wasn’t possible for our students.
