Phillipsburg High School Cross Country competes at Concordia

Freshman Brady Russom earned 31st place with a time of 14:43 at Concordia.

On a hot fall day, the High School Panthers XC team traveled to the Concordia Golf Course for their first meet of the season.

Due to extreme heat, the course was shortened from 3.1 miles to a 2 mile race.

In the HS girls division, junior Hannah Walker posted a time of 19:09 earning her a 33rd place.

The Panthers had three HS boys compete. The top finisher for Phillipsburg was sophomore Colton Ewing placing 28th with a time of 14:21. In his debut race, freshman Brady Russom earned 31st place with a time of 14:43. Senior Adam Mascarenas placed 39th with a 16:02.

The next cross country meet will be at Webster Lake on Thursday Sept. 7.
