Logan Schools Honor Veterans

The Logan Schools presented their Veterans Day Program on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Logan auditorium.

Tobin Kats and Logan Trochez posted the colors, with the 6-12 band playing the "Star-Spangled Banner" afterward. Grayson Becker gave a welcoming speech and Kinley VanDerVeen read about the history of Veterans Day.

The K-4 students sang two patriotic numbers, and the 5-6 students sang two pieces as well. The 6-12 band played “America the Beautiful,” and the 9-12 grade band played the “Armed Forces on Parade.”

Helen Prewo created a slide show including the local Veterans. Kathi Ebner, Cyndee Rider, and Sherry Robinson presented the Quilts of Honor. Those Veterans receiving quilts were: Stacy “Tater” Brackney, Ron Holben, Dave Jansonius, Neil Robinson, Brien Stockman, and Dennis Willis. Mr. Lucas Burmeister played taps, and Tobin Kats and Logan Trochez retired the colors.
