It was a busy week for the Trojans, as they played three games.

In a make-up game from earlier in the season, they played Plainville on Monday with no JV girls game. The varsity girls won 42-22 with 8 players putting up points on the scoreboard. Ansley Delimont led with 8, Mara Kats 7, and Lylah Voss, Graci Bliss and Breyer Delimont each added 6. Kats pulled down 8 rebounds and Delimont grabbed 6. Cydnee Rider tallied 6 assists.

Suffering from some sickness, the boys were short on numbers and energy as they took the court. The JV boys took the loss as did the varsity boys with a score of 42-59. Case Ashmore scored 7, Cameron Morgan 9 and Rhett Kats 15. Ryan Prewo brought down 5 rebounds and tallied 5 assists.

In a quick turnaround, the Trojans were back in Palco on Tuesday hosting Hill City.

The JV girls game was cancelled, but the varsity girls enjoyed their second win of the week beating the Ringnecks 49-32. The Lady Trojans jumped to the 10-2 lead in the first quarter and finished the 4th quarter by a 14-2 margin. Three ladies scored in double digits with Delimont and Voss each scoring 12 points and Kats 10. Voss nabbed 8 boards, while Kats added 7. Once again, Rider was on target for 7 assists.

The JV boys lost in 2 quarters of play, and the varsity boys lost a heart-breaker 51-54. Prewo put up 7 points, Morgan 8 and Kats 21. Morgan earned 5 assists, while Kats had 4 blocks.

On Friday, the Trojans hosted Cheylin in Logan. The JV girls picked up the 27-14 win. The JV boys made a 4th quarter comeback in their game coming within 2 points of the Cougars before fouls and free throws gave Cheylin the win 25-21.

The varsity girls lost a close one, too, 34-39. Having the lead in the 3rd quarter, the girls weren't able to stop the shooting spree from Cheylin's Taylor McCarty who poured it on in the 4th quarter. Kats scored 14 with 6 rebounds, and Delimont scored 7 with 7 boards.

The varsity boys outscored the Cougars 12-4 in the first quarter and ended with the 67-54 win. Caleb Sparks scored 9, Ethan Gaschler 11, and Case Ashmore and Rhett Kats each with 17. Kaden Graham, Morgan and Prewo each secured 6 rebounds, and Kats found his teammates for 8 assists.

A very special thank you to the fans for packing the house on this historic Friday night, marking the end of an era, as this will be the last games to be played in the Logan gymnasium. Known to be the loudest gym in the area, Trojan players loved this part of their home court advantage.

Future games will be played in the new gym as part of the L.I.F.E. project. In a bittersweet moment following the game, players and fans focused their attention to the banner on the wall and sang the Alma Mater.

The Trojans will host Decatur Community on Tuesday in Palco before jumping into Sub-state play. The Trojan boys are seeded #2 and will play #7 Natoma on Thursday night at 7:00 in Palco, and the #4 seeded Lady Trojans will play #5 seeded Cheylin on Friday at 7:00 in Palco.
