Panther wrestling team takes fourth at state meet

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, February 22-24, the Panther Girls and Boys Wrestling teams competed at Salina in the 4-1A and 3-2-1A State Competition.

In total, the Panthers qualified 10 people to compete in the State Competition. Out of those ten wrestlers, five individuals placed including Bella Keesee who placed 5th, Blake Buresh who placed 3rd, Seth Keeten who placed 3rd, Cole Keeten who placed 4th and Kaden Sisson who is the 3-2-1A State Champion in the 126 pound weight class.

The Panthers placed 4th in team scores, having 92 points. Hoxie High School won the State Tournament with 169.5 points.

Individual results are as follows:

120 - Patrick Driggs - Did not place and went 1-2

126 - Kaden Sisson - Placed 1st and went 4-0

132 - Hunter Sisson - Did not place and went 0-2

138 - Blake Buresh - Placed 3rd and went 4-1

144 - Seth Keeten - Placed 3rd and went 5-1

150 - Cole Keeten - Placed 4th and went 3-2

165 - Kayden Hudson - Did not place and went 2-2

175 - Carsen Meitl - Did not place and went 2-2

130 - Isabella Keese - Placed 5th and went 3-2

155 - Johnna Ebner - Did not place and went 0-2
