Phillipsburg Jr. High football moves record to 2-0
Phillipsburg Middle School football traveled to Russell on Thursday, Sept. 12 to battle the Broncos. The Panthers dominated the game and came home with a shutout victory 22-0.
Offensively, the Panthers had three players with double figure rushing yards: Chasen Shields had seven carries for 77 yards and two touchdowns, Drayden Simpson had five carries for 40 yards and Colby Myers had ten carries for 17 yards. The Panthers had a total of 139 rushing yards.
Defensively, the Panthers were led in tackles by Shields who had five, Kason Wisinger with three and Kolton Wilkison with three. The Panthers also had three interceptions on the night.
The Panthers are currently 2-0 on the season.
