Logan hosts WKLL Junior High Volleyball tournament

With the addition of the LIFE Project Gym, Logan was able to host the WKLL Junior High Volleyball tournament on Thursday, Oct. 24. The nine teams were divided into 3 pools, then based on the pool play results, moved to gold, silver and bronze bracket play.
The Logan-Palco Trojans started their day against Golden Plains where they came up short 16-25, 18-25. In their next match against Western Plains, the Lady Trojans won their first set with a close 28-26 score, but couldn't hold on to the momentum and lost the next two 23-25, 18-25. The two losses moved them to the bronze bracket where they took on Heartland Christian, winning 25-19, 25-17. In their final match of the day, the Lady Trojans took on Northern Valley in three sets. The Trojans were able to prevail, winning the bronze bracket 25-15, 17-25, 25-17.
The tournament concluded the volleyball season. With one day off, it's on to basketball as the junior teams will begin the winter sports practice on Monday.
