The junior high held their home track meet on Thursday, April 16.
The team competed very well, with the 8th grade boys placing 1st overall. The 8th and 7th grade girls placed 4th, and the 7th grade boys placed 7th.
All grades had many personal records broken. The 7th grade girls had 7 personal records and a new school record set by Katlin Meili in the javelin with a throw of 84’3”.
The 7th grade boys had 14 personal records, and their 4x400 relay team also broke the school record with a time of 4:31.29.
The 8th grade girls had 9 personal records, while the 8th grade boys had 20.
The 7th grade girls 4x100 relay placed 1st, the 8th grade girls 4x100 relay also placed 1st, and the 8th grade boys 4x100 relay placed 1st as well. The 8th grade girls 4x400 relay also took 1st.
Individually, Prestyn Hilburn placed 1st in the 100 and 200 hurdles, Jack Seems placed 1st in the 100 hurdles, Haylee Patterson placed 1st in the 200 meter dash and pole vault, and Ace Johnson placed 1st in the 200 meter hurdles.
