City Clerk/Library Director
The City of Kirwin is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to serve as City Clerk and Library Director. This dual-role position supports efficient city operations while leading the services and growth of the Kirwin City Library.
This is a part time position (26-32 hrs weekly) offering KPERS retirement, PTO days and paid holidays. The schedule is flexible, with opportunities for adjusted hours and time off to support work-life balance. Starting wage: $17.61 per hour, if qualifications are met.
Key Responsibilities
- City Clerk
- Maintain all official city records and council documentation
- Serve as a liaison between the public, city staff, and elected officials.
- Provide clear written and verbal communication
- Manage utility billing operations
- Enter and track all city income and expenses
- Library Director
- Oversee daily library operations
- Work with the Library Board to develop programs
- Manage physical and digital collections

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; experience in accounting or related fields preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer skills.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team.
