The Phillipsburg Panthers High School Cross Country Team competed in the Smith Center Invitational on Sept. 18, 2025.
The meet was held at the Smith Center Golf Course. The Panther team competed in the Junior Varsity Division.
Freshman Valeria Hernandez finished the race in 1st place, earning her medal with a time of 27:32. Freshman Roger Riedel placed 5th in the JV race with a 24:55. Sophomore Brayden King finished in 7th place with a 26:16.
The Middle School Cross Country Team joined the High School in Smith Center. Eighth grade runner Julia Walker placed 5th in the 2 mile, with a personal record of 16:05. Bryson King, a 7th grade runner, placed 5th in the mile with a time of 11:09. The Panthers are excited to travel to Norton on Sept. 25th for their next meet.
