With a fast break to the basket, freshman Brecken Shellito goes in for the layup. She was fouled on the play and headed to the charity stripe.
The Trojans traveled to Colby on Tuesday, Jan. 27 to play Rawlins County.
There was not a JV girls game, so the JV boys started the evening. In a close game, the Trojans lost a heartbreaker 50-54. Jeffery Bliss scored 16, John Sparks 14 and Weston Ruff 11.
In the varsity girls contest, the Lady Trojans took the 26-55 loss. Senior Lylah Voss scored 14 and pulled down 6 rebounds. Breyer Delimont and Brecken Shellito each tallied 5 boards as well.
The boys lost 32-60. Taden Gottschalk scored 9, and Easton Gottschalk scored 8. Case Ashmore pulled down 11 boards.
The Trojans traveled to Quinter on Thursday, to play Rawlins County again for a make-up game earlier in the season. The girls struggled on the court and lost 24-71. The boys made some changes and played a much closer game but lost 42-56.
