Phillipsburg, KS - The Phillips County Conservation District is pleased to announce that Brooklyn Roth has been selected as a recipient of this year’s Conservation Scholarship. Roth will attend the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture this fall, where she plans to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology.

A lifelong resident of rural Kansas and a member of a farming family, Roth has grown up with a deep appreciation for the land and the responsibilities that come with caring for it. She understands firsthand how closely agriculture and resource stewardship are connected.

“Conservation isn’t about stopping progress or limiting what people can do,” Roth shared. “It’s about making sure the land can continue to support us, our families, and the generations who will come after us.”

Roth also emphasized the importance of her generation’s role in shaping the future. She noted that today’s decisions will directly influence the condition of the land and water resources passed down to those who follow. “Conservation is a responsibility we all share,” she said.

The Phillips County Conservation District congratulates Brooklyn on this achievement and is proud to support her as she continues her education and her commitment to responsible land stewardship.
