Panther Boys' Basketball Team Starts Season Strong
The Boys Basketball team played at home against Oakley on December 5. The game started at 7:30pm against the Plainsmen. The boys ended the game with a win 75 to 60, with 10 assists and 16 steals. Junior Eli Springer led the team in points with 21 of the 75.
The Varsity Panthers traveled to Russell for the annual Amos Morris tournament Monday December 8th. The Boys’ game started at 5pm against the St. Johns Tipton Blujays. The Boys played strong even though they lost 45 to 74, with 14 assists and 6 steals, which moved the team to the losing bracket to play against Russell December 11th.
The Varsity Panthers traveled back to Russell to play against the home team December 11th at 5pm. The Boys fought back and forth with the Broncos but faltered in the fourth quarter ending with a loss 51 to 56. The Panthers had 8 assists and 14 steals, leading this game's points was Senior EJ Hall with 15 points of the 51. The Boys ended the tournament here because of road conditions they were not able to finish the bracket on December 13th.
