Phillipsburg, Kan. (July 6, 2026) – A new face will join a veteran at Kansas Biggest Rodeo in Phillipsburg this year.

After 43 years, Corley is joined by co-announcer

Bob Edmonds will co-announce the rodeo with Randy Corley.

Edmonds, who lives in Kersey, Colorado, grew up in a rodeo family, with a great-uncle who was a rodeo announcer. In 2001, when his uncle got sick, he stepped in to announce at his hometown rodeo. Other stock contractors heard his work, “and it took off from there,” he said.

He became a PRCA member in 2006 and works about 45 events a year, including Hill City and Manhattan, Kansas, and Loveland, Colorado.

Edmonds is a quiet man, “very shy,” he said, but that changes when he’s in front of a microphone. “You flip the microphone on, and it doesn’t matter if it’s 100 people or 8,000 people, that atmosphere makes me so comfortable. My favorite part is engaging with the audience and letting them experience our western lifestyle.”

He and his wife Brandy have twin daughters, Koree and Kaycee. Both are employed as veterinary technicians. For fun, he likes to team rope, elk hunt, and golf.

Edmonds is excited to work alongside Randy Corley in Phillipsburg.

Kansas Biggest Rodeo “is a very honored position,” he said, “since Hadley (Barrett) has been there, and Randy has been there so long. Both of those guys are pretty much my heroes, and I’ve been fortunate to call them my friends.”

He’s heard a lot of good things about the Phillipsburg rodeo, and he looks forward to working it.

“I do Loveland (Colorado) with Bennie (Beutler, stock contractor), and Jill (Loden, sound director), and they could not say enough good things about the Phillipsburg committee.

“I look forward to building those relationships, because everyone brags on them. It’s always special to forge those relationships, and that’s probably one of my favorite parts of the industry as a whole.”

This year, the 97th annual Kansas Biggest Rodeo, in Phillipsburg, will be held July 30-31-August 1. Shows start at 8 pm nightly.
