Recently, Logan received word that a national FOX News production team from Washington, D.C., working with FOX News Sunday, wanted to travel to town to record footage featuring the people who live, work, and learn at the LIFE Center. In a short amount of time, a team of community members came together to make plans and arrangements, coordinate interviews, and prepare Logan for the special visit.

The local planning team included representatives from the LIFE Center planning committee, Logan Manor, USD 326, the City of Logan, and LCDF.

On Thursday, August 20, the FOX News Sunday production staff and camera crew from Washington, D.C. visited the LIFE Center, where they spent the morning conducting interviews with FOX News Sunday anchor Shannon Bream. Following the interviews, the national FOX News crew traveled throughout Logan to capture additional footage that will be incorporated into the feature.

The visit also carried a special local connection. Samantha Jackson, an assistant to Shannon Bream and a member of the FOX News Sunday staff, has family ties to the Logan area. Samantha is the daughter of Christina Dawn Ward (now Snellings), who grew up in Glade and attended school in Phillipsburg. Christina now lives in Colorado with her husband, John, and their four children.

Samantha is the granddaughter of Doug and Carol (Grunert) Ward of Glade, the great-granddaughter of the late Leland and Eldora Grunert of Logan, and the niece of Cody Ward and Jennifer DeBoer of Logan.

The community is invited to tune in to FOX News Sunday on Sunday, August 30, to see the program featuring the LIFE Center and the unique experience of students and nursing-home residents sharing life and learning together under one roof.

The program will air at 8 a.m. Central Time on KMTW FOX Kansas and will re-air later that day on the Fox News Channel at 1 p.m. Central Time. The segment will also be available for viewing online afterward.

It is a wonderful opportunity for the national FOX News audience to see the LIFE Center and learn about the innovative partnership taking place in the Logan community.
