Phillipsburg ends playoff run with loss to Southeast Saline

The Panther football team traveled to Gypsum on Nov. 14, for sectional bracket play against Southeast Saline, who was undefeated at that time.

Following a first-possession score by SE, the Panthers answered back with a long kick return by senior Blake Buresh and an eventual touchdown on a 37-yard run made by senior running back Tanner Horinek.

The first score would be the only time the Panthers found the endzone. They ended the game with a loss 6-48 on 215 rushing yards.

On the season, the team had a total of 4,028 yards, 3,770 rushing yards and 55 rushing touchdowns.

Quarterback senior Colin Springer led them with 221 passing yards and 528 rushing yards.

Running back senior Blake Buresh led the team with 24 rushing touchdowns and 209 carries.

Defensive linebacker Cole Shelton leads the team with 74 tackles overall.

The Panthers ended the season with a regional title and a standing of 7-4 record.
