Phillipsburg dominates Norton in district matchup

The Phillipsburg varsity football team traveled to Norton, Friday Oct. 17, to take on the Bluejays during their Homecoming.

The team started off strong with senior running back Blake Buresh scoring the first touchdown, running it through the middle. Again, on a first and twelve situation, senior running back Tanner Horinek scored a 76-yard touchdown.

In the second quarter, the Panthers added 23 points. The offensive line continuously pushed Norton's defense to the side with their flexbone play.

In the second half when the clock ran continuously, the Panthers played their junior varsity players. The JV r scored a touchdown on an eight-yard run.

The team ended the game 55-0 winning and a total of 476 rushing yards.
