The Logan FFA Chapter recently hosted its 3rd Annual Ag Safety Day, and the event was a tremendous success. With ideal weather conditions and strong participation from all FFA members, the day provided an engaging and educational experience for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.

FFA members took an active leadership role throughout the event. Six leaders were assigned to each student group, while the remaining members worked in pairs to research, organize, and present safety topics. The stations covered a variety of important agricultural safety areas, including electrical safety, gasoline safety, sheep and goat safety, chainsaw safety, combine safety, and composting.

The Logan FFA members did an outstanding job presenting the information, and younger students stayed highly engaged by asking thoughtful questions and participating in discussions. A new interactive activity was added this year, allowing students to earn stickers by asking or answering questions at each station. Participants who collected five out of six stickers became eligible for prizes, and many students proudly earned rewards throughout the day.

In addition to the safety presentations, Logan FFA officers and greenhands shared their personal experiences in FFA, discussing the opportunities the organization has provided and the positive impact it has had on their lives. Their stories helped younger students better understand the importance of agricultural education and leadership.

Overall, Ag Safety Day was an outstanding event that showcased the leadership, knowledge, and dedication of Logan FFA members. The chapter would also like to extend a special thank you to Hayden Gottstine, Jordyn Leggett, and Kim Ellenberger for their invaluable help with setup and for providing animals for the demonstrations.
