Russom Ends Season at State Tournament

On May 15-16, junior Brady Russom competed at the state tennis meet at Prairie Village-Harmon Park Tennis Complex in Prairie Village.

Russom, who went into the tournament seeded 15 with a record of 16-4, faced the 18 seed in Taylor of Ellsworth in the first round. Russom defeated Taylor 6-4, 6-3.

In the second matchup, Russom faced the number two ranked Farha of Wichita Collegiate. Russom dropped the second contest 6-0, 6-0.

In his next match, Russom faced Budd of Chaparrel. Russom defeated Budd 8-1. In his final match, Russom faced Delong of Neodesha. Russom fell to Delong 8-4 to end his run at the state meet.
