Junior High Panthers Rebound from First Loss to Capture Win Against Russell.

The junior high Panthers traveled to Smith Center on Sept. 3 for their first football game of the season. The Panthers were down 14-0 at the end of the first quarter and extended deficit to 22-0 by halftime. The Panthers went on to lose the game 38-12.

Sept. 10, the Panthers played Russell at home. The Panthers started the game with a six-point lead at the end of the first quarter. Heading into halftime, the game was tied 14-14. After a big third quarter, the Panthers pulled out a 34-26 victory.

Kayne Breon led the team in rushing with 139 yards, followed by Cooper Miller with 57 yards. The Panthers also had two successful extra-point attempts.
