Husky Cross Country Medals Four in Phillipsburg Meet
The five NV Husky runners competed at the Phillipsburg Invitational meet on October 8, and came away with four junior varsity medals.
Zane Brown is the loan varsity runner for the Huskies this season, as he finished in 22nd place, running against 47 total boys with a time of 20:57.97. A 3-minute personal best.
Levi Black and Jeremiah Kirkland got 9th and 15th in the JV boys race with times of 27:21.83 and 31:18.49 respectively.
Tayah Seeders and Shelby Lentz placed 7th and 10th with times of 30:38.34 and 31:32.89 respectively.
Each runner had a great time given the course was the hilliest we have run this season. The last 200m of the race was a downhill slope that we used to our advantage. Unfortunately, two of the Husky runners weren't able to hold down their lunch at the end of the race. As we have seen often at Cross Country meets.
The Huskies have two new runners able to run next Thursday (Bryson Wilder and Max Wilder) as we go to compete at the Downs-Lakeside Invitational on October 15.
