Alek Miller (144 lbs) also finished 5th, scoring 21 points. After some early losses, Miller came back strong with pins over Alex Cates (Russell HS), James Williams (Bonner Springs HS), and Kooper Hankins (Ellis HS).

Carter Bogart (150 lbs) placed 6th and scored 16 points. He had big wins against Gavin Roybal (Hugoton HS), Henry Stiles (Hays-Thomas More Prep-Marian HS), and Noah Wolak (Goodland HS).

Blake Buresh (157 lbs) went undefeated and placed 1st, scoring 45 points for the team. Blake dominated with lots of pins and tech falls. Buresh also broke the school record for the most career wins.

Jesse Dettmer (215 lbs) fought hard and gained good experience in a tough weight class.

Overall, Phillipsburg wrestlers showed a lot of effort and determination. The team will look to keep building on this as the season continues.
