Lady Panthers drop final two regular season games heading into post-season
The Lady Panthers faced off against TMP on Friday, Feb. 13, but came up short, falling 44–34.
Phillipsburg competed hard throughout the game, but TMP was able to build momentum and hold onto the lead.
Senior Chloe VanDerVeen led the Panthers offensively with 15 points, knocking down two three-pointers and grabbing five rebounds. Junior Ryleigh Seems added seven points and dominated on the boards with a team-high 11 rebounds. Junior Chloe Jacobs contributed five points and five rebounds, while junior Brooke Hanchett chipped in five points and four rebounds.
The Lady Panthers played Hoxie at home on Feb. 20, but came up short, falling 50-34.
Phillipsburg battled early, but Hoxie pulled away as the game went on.
VanDerVeen led the Panthers with nine points and added three rebounds and four assists. Senior Natalie Fischer followed with eight points and six rebounds. Sophomores Tessa Ragsdale and Emalee Russell each contributed six points. Seems added four points and grabbed eight rebounds to help on the boards.
The Panthers will enter post-season play at Ellsworth on Friday, Feb. 27.
